5.6 Control joystick unit position
WARNING!
Make sure that the control system is mounted
•
securely and that the joystick position is correct.
The hand or limb you use to operate the joystick
•
should be supported, for example by the arm pad.
Do not use the joystick as the sole support for your
•
hand or limb - wheelchair movements and bumps
could upset your control.
Positioning the Joystick Unit:
• Use a 3.0 mm Allen key, (hexagon wrench).
• Loosen the small set screw, (C-Fig.5.16).
• Move the joystick to the required position.
• Tighten the set screw.
You may wish to adjust the Armrest position to match the
new Joystck position:
Use a 5.0 mm Allen key, (hexagon wrench).

Loosen the two Allen screws, (Fig.5.15, A ).
•
Slide the Armrest to it's new position.
•
Retighten the two Allen screws
•
WARNING!
Ensure all screws are fully tightened prior to use,
especially when transporting your wheelchair .
To adjust the height of the Control Joystick Unit relative to
the Armrest, (0 - 60.0 mm available adjustment):
Use a 5.0 mm Allen key, (hexagon wrench).
•
Loosen the Allen screw, (Fig.5.16, B).
•
Move the unit to the desired position.
•
Retighten the Allen screw.
•
WARNING!
Ensure the Allen screw is fully tightened prior to use,
especially when transporting your wheelchair .

Operate the on/off switch, (A).

The battery gauge will blink then remain on after a
•
second
Check that the maximum speed is set to a level which
•
suits you, (B).
Push the joystick to control the speed and direction of
•
the wheelchair , (C).
