Function and application

The electric parallel gripper HGPLE is a gripper with an integrated motor unit. The
rotation of the motor is converted by a mechanism into a linear motion of the
gripper jaws on which gripper fingers are fastened. The opening and closing action
of the gripper fingers enables them to grasp loads by their outer or inner contour.
The brush gear DC motor with encoder supplies signals to the higher−order con
troller. The encoder signals transmit the rotation angle of the motor to the con
troller type SFC−DC. The controller, which operates in a closed−loop circuit, regu
lates the current, speed and position of the motor to the specified nominal values
with a high degree of accuracy.
The electric parallel gripper HGPLE is designed for gripping and holding effective
loads in conjunction with the motor controller SFC−DC.
