HGPLE
Avoid the HGPLE coming into contact with the following:
S
Coolants which cause corrosion
Grinding dust
Glowing sparks or chips.
These will damage the HGPLE.
Loosening mechanical jamming of the gripper jaws caused by the automatic
locking of the worm gear unit:
1. Remove the screw 6.
2. Turn the spur gear unit underneath using
the same hexagon spanner until the
locking is loosened:
In anti−clockwise direction (gripping
outside)
In a clockwise direction (gripping
inside)
The maximum torque for loosening the
locking is 3 Nm.
3. Screw the screw 6 back in.
The tightening torque is 1.2 Nm.

Care and maintenance

Warning
Unexpected fast−moving masses can cause injury to people or damage to
property (danger of fingers being crushed). Controller signals can cause
unintentional movements of the HGPLE.
S Switch off the controller for all maintenance work on the HGPLE and protect it
from being switched on again unintentionally.
Note
Liquid cleaning agents such as water can damage the sliding bearing material
and the electronics.
S If necessary, clean the HGPLE with a soft dry cloth.
