2.4 Installation of DualGuard-S 12C6 in fire
protection enclosure ELC-ESF30-F
Mount and fasten the fire protection enclosures according
to the separate mounting instructions supplied.
It is imperative to follow the installation instructions of the
manufacturer of the fire protection enclosure.
Then align the DualGuard-S 12C6 unit in front of the fire
protection enclosure and carefully push it into the fire pro-
tection enclosure (Fig.1).
When doing so, do not place any point loads on the front
edge of the base.
Push the DualGuard-S 12C6 unit flush against the rear and
the right wall.
Check directly whether the doors of the units can be
opened.
Mounting the air baffle (Fig. 2) in the roof area.
The self-adhesive foam rubber for sealing may only be
attached to the sheet metal in the system. As soon as
the foam rubber is unrolled the material begins to expand;
depending on the temperature, full expansion is reached
after 10 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the tempera-
ture.
Fasten the baffle with washers and spacer bolts (Fig. 3).
2 washers each must be used for compensation.
Before fixing the baffle, check that the doors of the fire
protection enclosure can still be closed.
The holes in the baffles provide enough clearance to com-
pensate for this.
Put on the roof plate (Fig. 4) and fix it with the original
screws.
Fasten the PE connection of the roof plate with the PE
connection of the baffle plate in the right-hand side wall.
Fit the baffle in the supply air area w (Figs. 5 and 6) as
shown.
To do this, push the baffle plate only as far as it will go
into the intermediate space.
In order to compensate for tolerances, the sheet can be
carefully „bent up" (+ 90°) or „compressed" (- 90°).
