Position the steering wheel supplied
separately (9) on the pump shaft (10) by using the
suitable key (11). Insert the washer (12) and tighten
the self-locking nut (13) with a 15/16" open end
wrench and with a torque of 30 Nm (22,14 lb ft);
then grease the thread by using some anti-seize
®
grease MOLYKOTE
CAUTION
If the self-locking nut (13) is disassembled, it must
be replaced. (Contact our assistance service, see
page 6).
3.5 Hose connection to the system

Tighten the 4 fittings (1) on the pressure relief valve (2)
with a torque of 50 Nm (36,9 lb ft) by using an open end
wrench 22 mm.

Connect the pipes (3) to the pump and to the pressure relief
valve (2)(not supplied; KIT RV70 - CODE 42560D is necessary), by
tightening the 4 nuts with sleeve (4) with a torque of 45-50 Nm
(33,21-36,9 lb ft) by using an open end wrench 22 mm.
WARNING
Since the pump is not provided with a pressure relief valve, the
system is not protected against overpressure. Using valve RV70
(CODE 42560D) (supplied separately) is strongly recommended.
CAUTION
Connect hoses as explained in the par. 3.6.
NOTICE
When rigid pipes (3) are used, they must be in compliance with the DIN 2391 rule.
NOTICE
The hoses (5) that connect the pressure relief valve to the cylinder must be flexible. (For the connection, see
the manual of the UC378, UC339-I, UC442-I and UC530-I cylinders).
WARNING
Keep clean. Make sure that working areas are free from dust and dirt. The protective plugs of threaded
holes must be removed only before the connection of fittings and pipes.
Make sure that pipes are perfectly clean and free from swarf. Shorten pipes by using cutters or nippers.
NEVER use saw-toothed or toothed blades since cutting and dirt in the hydraulic system could cause its
breaking and the impossibility to use it. In case of copper or steel pipes, rinsing is necessary.
