If the drill core is still stuck in the drill hole
after the diamond core drill bit has been re-
moved, it can be broken out using a suitable
tool (e.g. BAIER BMH 622 chipping hammer or
chisel).

Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the dry diamond drill.
The machine must be cleaned after each drilling
work session.
•
Remove the dry diamond drill from the drill
stand.
•
Carefully clean the machine and blow out with
compressed air.
•
Lightly grease the thread of the core bit holder.
•
Clean the drill stand carefully and blow out with
compressed air.
•
Lightly grease the spindle head guideway and
feed speed adjustment.
•
Ensure handles are dry and free from grease.

Maintenance
DANGER

Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the dry diamond drill.
The dry diamond drill must be serviced at least
once a year. Further, servicing will be necessary
depending on the wear of the carbon brushes.
Only servicing and repair firms authorised by
Maschinenfabrik OTTO BAIER GmbH may carry out
maintenance of the machine. Also ensure that origi-
nal BAIER spare parts and original BAIER accesso-
ries only are used.
