Drill stand BST 200 (optional accessories)
The drill stand is intended for holding diamond
drills with a maximum power of 2.2 kW in conjunc-
tion with diamond core drill bits in mineral materi-
als such as concrete, reinforced concrete or mason-
ry. The largest allowable diameter drilled is 200 mm.
Other units, which exceed these values, may not
be used. The drill stand can be attached to the floor
and to the wall with the help of plugs or anchors,
vacuum.

Intended use

Dry Diamond Drill
The standard BDB 829 dry diamond drill is de-
signed for dry drilling. The BDB 829 dry diamond
drill is designed both for hand-held mode and for
use with a drill stand.
NOTE
The centring pin and a suitable dust extractor must
be used for hand-held mode.
The diamond drills are intended to be used in con-
junction with diamond core drill bits for drilling in
mineral materials such as concrete, reinforced con-
crete, clay bricks, lime-sand blocks or undressed
stone. Never work without extraction.

The following materials may not be drilled: wood,
metal and glass, etc.
Observe the relevant regulations in your
country for the materials to be machined and
extraction.
NOTE
RAWL anchors with diameter 20 mm/M12 are to be
used for fixing onto walls.

Before Starting Work

To ensure safe working with the dry diamond drill,
the following points must be observed before each
use:
•
Read through all safety instructions and warn-
ings in this instruction manual.
•
Wear protective clothing such as hard hat, face
protection or safety goggles, safety gloves and if
necessary an apron.
•
The voltage on the rating plate must be identical
with the mains voltage.
•
Before each use, check the machine, connec-
tion cable, plug, secure fit of the diamond core
drill bit and, if applicable, the fixing of the drill
stand.
•
Always note follow the thread dimension of the
diamond core drill bit arbour. The thread of the
diamond core drill bits must fit on the thread of
the dry diamond drill (G½" internal thread or 1¼"
UNC external thread) without any clearance. Do
not use reducers or adaptors for fitting the dia-
mond core drill bits.
•
Visually inspect the condition of the diamond
core drill bit.
NOTE
Damaged diamond core drill bits may not be used
and must be replaced immediately.
•
Only use the diamond core drill bits recommend-
ed by OTTO BAIER GmbH for the respective
area of use.
