Adjusting the tilt at the drill
stand
The drill stand can be continuously adjusted up to
an tilt of 45°.
Undo the top cheese head screw (3) and

the two bottom cheese head screws (2) of the
angle adjustment, it may be necessary to hold
the nuts on the opposite side to prevent them
from moving.

Set the drill stand column (1) to the required
drilling angle.

Re-tighten the two bottom cheese head
screws (2) and the top cheese head screw (3).
NOTE
The drill stand may not be used again until all

three cheese head screws (2 and 3) have been
screwed tight.

Fixing the dry diamond drill onto
the drill stand
NOTE
Ensure that the drill stand is securely in position
and stable.

Dismantle extraction tube.
f Press the spring clip (1) in the direction of
the arrow (A) until the legs of the clip unlatch
from the groove of the gearbox extension.
f Remove the extraction tube (2) from the
front (B) above the output shaft (3).

Use the clamping lever (1) to lock the spin-
dle head (2).

Unscrew the tapered shaft (2) and pull it out
of the spindle head (4) up to the limit stop.
Hook the machine collar (3) from above into

the holder of the spindle head (1) and push the
machine collar (3) downwards.

Push the tapered shaft (2) through the
machine collar (3) and tighten using an
open-ended spanner.
NOTE
Never use the feed crank handle to tighten the
tapered shaft; it could be damaged by excessive
torque.

Undo the two cheese head screw (3) in the
machine collar (2).

Insert the drill (4) from above into the
machine collar (2) of the drill stand up to the
limit stop.

Re-tighten the cheese head screws (3).

Mount the extraction tube.
f Press the spring clip (2) in the direction of
the arrow (A) until the legs of the clip unlatch
from the groove of the extraction tube (1).
f Push the extraction tube (1) onto the gearbox
extension (3) up to the limit stop.
f Press the spring clip (2) in the opposite di-
rection to the arrow until the clip legs latch
into the groove of the gearbox extension (3).
Repeat in the reverse order to remove the dia-
mond drill from the drill stand.

Set guide clearance on spindle
head
The spindle head must run without any clearance; it
is adjusted using two hexagon head socket screws.

Release the clamping lever (1).

Undo both lock nuts (2).
Adjust both hexagon socket head screws (3)

until the clearance is removed.
Tighten both lock nuts (2).

Turn the capstan handle (4) in both direc-
tions and check whether the spindle head (5)
moves without clearance.
NOTE
The clearance is correctly set if the spindle head
with the mounted dry diamond drill does not move
downward under its own weight or if so, moves
very slowly.
