a. Sound-active mode
In this mode the LED strobe will work on sound and chase through the different colours.
1. Plug in the unit and put all DIP switches in the OFF position.
2. You have to adjust the speed and sound sensitivity through the 2 knobs on the backside. The unit will now
switch colours when the built-in microphone picks up sound.
3. To run a master / slave configuration, set all DIP switches on the MASTER device in the OFF position. Set DIP
switch 1 in the ON position on all SLAVE units.
b. Automatic mode
1. Put DIP switch 10 in the ON position.
2. Adjust the speed by adjusting the speed control knob.
3. To run a master / slave configuration, set all DIP switches on the MASTER device in the OFF position. Set DIP
switch 1 in the ON position on all SLAVE units.
c. DMX mode
By operating through a DMX controller you can create your own programs. This function also allows you to use the
fixture as a spot light.
1. This function allows you to control each fixture separately with a DMX controller.
2. The fixture uses 3 DMX channels to operate.

d. DMX512 Connections
Connect the provided XLR cable to the female 3-pin XLR output of your controller and the other side to the male 3-
pin XLR input of the VDPL200ST. Multiple VDPL200STs can be linked through serial linking. The linking cable
should be a two-core screened cable with XLR input and output connectors.
