1 Introduction
Linx is a fully integrated, microprocessor-controlled knee and foot system. The four
microprocessors provide simultaneous control over both foot and knee co-ordinating
their responses for a variety of terrains and situations in one complete biomimetic limb.
Individual adjustment can be made for slopes and stairs and a stop and lock mode for
standing. The set-up procedure is through an easy to use PC interface via a Bluetooth®
connection to the on-board module.
Application
Linx is to be used exclusively as part of a lower limb prosthesis.
Intended for single user.
Ensure that the user has understood all instructions for use, drawing particular
attention to the sections regarding safety and maintenance.

The enhanced stability system offers:

• Dynamic stair descent with an easy start of knee flexion
coupled with increasing support to gently lower the user during flexion
• Supportive resistance to flexion as soon as the knee stops flexing
• Increased supportive resistance to flexion to prevent 'stumbles' associated with
instability at heel strike
