Every unit operating with the serial interface must have its own address
Unit address
(00...99). This is used by the PC software for unit identification.
Selection of the interface to be used (RS232, RS485 or Ethernet).
Type
Simultaneous operation is not possible.
Baud rate
Transmission (="Baud rate) speed must correspond with that set on the PC
(only at RS232/485)
software.
Parity
These settings must correspond with that set on the PC software.
(only at RS232/485)
Stop bits
These settings must correspond with that set on the PC software.
(only at RS232/485)
Data bits
These settings must correspond with that set on the PC software.
(only at RS232/485)
Fixed - cannot be changed.
IP-Address
The IP address must be issued by your network administrator. The settings
(only at Ethernet)
must correspond with those in the PC software.
Gateway
These settings must be issued by the network administrator.
(only at Ethernet)
Subnetmask
These settings must be issued by the network administrator.
(only at Ethernet)
• Memory/mode: Information to memory availability and selection of
"Normal/simulation mode
"Normal operation": The unit operates using the real connected signals.
"Simulation": The unit operates using simulated signals. The actual unit
settings are used in this function. Measured value plot and storage any
actually connected analogue inputs is switched off when this mode is active.
Operating mode
The simulated values are stored instead.
Hint: If the previously recorded "real" signals are required please copy these
to diskette (see chapter "Handling in operation - read out functions -
Diskette").
Information regarding the size and availability of the internal measured value
memory and the diskette drive. Displays the time for which the measured
values are available using the unit settings as they are.
Conditions:
- actual feed rate
- no alarm conditions/alarm feed rate
- digital inputs not used
Hints: The memory information takes the actually stored unit settings into
Memory information
account as well as the conditions mentioned above. If changes have been
made but not yet stored then the respective memory info will only be updated
once the new parameters have been stored and the unit is returned to
"Normal operation" (operation of " " a number of times) and the changes
accepted and stored with "Yes". See "Setting up unit - Set up - Entry
principle"
The available memory time decreases when e.g.
- Alarms/events are to be stored or monitored
- Digital inputs are used.
