MODELS WITH THERMOSTATIC MIXER
Dismantling and cleaning the thermostatic valve
The thermostatic valve is provided with mesh filters, to trap any im-
purities in the water.
Over time, these filters could become clogged and, therefore, inhibit
the functions of the mixer tap; to clean the valve, remove it in this way:

Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) to the shower enclosure.

Drain the water present in the mixer unit by turning the
diverter ring (5) to the symbol "under seat outlet" and open the stop
tap (3) completely; however, a little water will remain inside the brass
part. After emptying the mixer unit, close the stop tap by turning the
dial to the previous position.

Remove the two dial caps (1), by using the tip of a screw-
driver if necessary; be careful not to scratch the dial.

Remove the screws (2) and loosen the dials (3) and (3a).

Unscrew the cover (4) and then remove the diverter dial (5).

Remove the plate (6) using the slit at the bottom as a lever,
be careful not to scratch the plate and the methacrylate panel.

Unscrew the centering collar (7) and the cover (7a).

Ease out the thermostatic valve (8).
Clean the mesh filters with a little brush and rinse; if scale is pres-
ent, wash with specific products.
Reassemble the various components following the same procedure
backwards; also follow these instructions:
- the stop tap knob (3) must be in a vertical position (closed position).

Attach the thermostatic valve so that the grub screw (9) (screw
peg) is facing downwards, and it can enter the cut in the brass casing.

Electrical safety

hydromassage products are safe appliances, manufactured
according to EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-105, EN 55014-1, EN
55014-2 norms. They are tested during production to guarantee user
safety. The installation must be carried out by qualified persons who
must be able to guarantee compliance with the current national reg-
ulations and who must also be certified to carry out the installation.
It is the responsibility of the installer to choose the
materials according to their use, to carry out the
work correctly, to check the condition of the system
to which the appliance is to be connected and its
suitability in order to guarantee user safety.
FLEXA THEMA shower enclosures are class "1" appliances and must
be anchored securely and connected permanently to the electric net-
work and earth system without any intermediate junctions.
The electric network and earth system of the build-
ing must be in working order and must comply with
the provisions of the law and specific regulations in
force in that country.
An appropriate device must be provided, as part of
the fixture and installed in compliance with current
regulations, which disconnects the equipment from
the mains.
A multiple-pole disconnect switch must be installed for connection
to the mains. This device must ensure complete disconnection un-
der class III overcurrent conditions. The breaker must be located in
a position that respects bathroom safety regulations.
In accordance with regulations, the switch and other
electrical devices must be located in an area that can-
not be reached by the person using the appliance.
The installation of electrical devices and appliances (sockets, switches,
etc.) in bathrooms must comply with the legal requirements and standards
of each country. In particular, no electrical installation is permitted with-
in 60 cm of the shower enclosure or at a height of less than 225 cm.
