2 Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit) correspond
to all required directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
WARNING The plug-in power supply unit is sup-
plied with hazard ous mains voltage
(230 V~). Leave servic ing to skilled per-
sonnel only. Inexpert handling may
cause an electric shock hazard.
Always observe the following items:
G
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Even with the receiver switched off, the plug-in
power supply unit connected to the mains supply
has a low current consumption.
G
Do not operate the receiver and immediately discon-
nect the plug-in power supply unit from the mains
socket
1. if there is visible damage to the plug-in power
supply unit or to the receiver,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,

3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected, operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.
If the units are to be put out of operation de -
finitively, take them to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.

3 Applications

In combination with a wireless microphone, the re -
ceiver TXS-8... makes up a wireless microphone sys-
tem. This system allows wireless transmission of
music and speech from the microphone to the re -
ceiver. The range is approx. 30 m and depends on
local condi-tions.
The receiver is available for two different transmis-
sion channels (transmission frequencies) each:
Model
Frequency
TXS-840
863,05 MHz
TXS-842
864,80 MHz
* Diversity technique: Two antennas receive the transmitted
signal separately. The respective more powerful antenna sig-
nal is then internally switched to the input of the receiving
part.
When using two microphone systems with different
frequencies, signals from two microphones can be
transmitted on different channels. It is possible to com-
bine e. g. the following wireless microphones from the
"img Stage Line" range with the TXS-8.. receivers:
