Performing a Blood Glucose Test

Before you perform your first blood glucose test, set up your meter correctly. You need the meter,
a test strip, and a lancing device with a drum loaded.
1. Wash and dry your hands.
2. Prepare your lancing device.
3. Insert a test strip into the meter in the
direction of the arrow. The meter turns on.

4. Make sure the code number on the display
matches the code number on the test strip
container. If you miss seeing the code
number, remove the test strip and reinsert
it into the meter.
