receptacle [1-24] of the stirrer stand.
 Wind up excess cable of the stirrer on the cable
holder [1-5].
 Allow suffi cient cable slack so that the radial
arm can be fully extended and still be turned
to the side.
6.3
Assembly of the Clamping Device / Mix-
ing Container (special accessory)
For secure support, the mixing container should
always be clamped. Best results are achieved by
using the clamping device, which is available as
a special accessory.
Mounting the Clamping Device
 Place the clamping device [1-16] onto the cor-
responding holding fi xture on the base [1-21].
 Insert the respective bolt into the hole and se-
cure with the nut [1-29] (see Fig. [e]).
Clamping the Mixing Container
 By loosening the securing knob [1-20], the
clamping arm [1-19] can be adjusted to the
respective height of the mixing container (see
Fig. [f]).
 Place the mixing container on the grid iron and
slide it against the clamping arm.
 Loosen the securing knob [1-17] and slide
back the clamping claw [1-18] to the column
of the stand (see Fig. [g]).
 Press down the clamping arm until it faces
against the top of the mixing container and the
claw engages on the lip or chime of the mixing
container.
 Press the clamping claw [1-18] against the
brim of the mixing container and secure it in
this position with the securing knob [1-17].

WARNING
Risk of accident if the machine is operated us-
ing unauthorised voltages or frequencies.
- The mains voltage and the frequency of the
power source must correspond with the spec-
ifi cations on the machine's name plate.
- In North America, only Festool machines with
the voltage specifi cations 120 V/60 Hz may be
used.
WARNING
Risk of accident, electric shock
 Always pull the plug out of the socket before
performing any type of work on the machine.
7.1
Connecting the stirrer to mains
The stirrer must be connected to the mains
supply only via the operating panel, respec-
tively the receptacle [1-24].
 Insert the power plug of the stirrer stand to the
mains receptacle and wind up excess cable on
the cable holder [1-23].
7.2
Switching the stirrer stand on and off
(see Fig. [h])
Before switching on the stirrer, check that
the On/Off switch [1-27] is in the "0" posi-
tion.
 Set the stirrer to the "CONTINUOUS RUNNING
MODE", according to the respective operating
manual.
For the Stirrers MX 1000, MX 1000/2 and
MX 1200, the use of the On/Off switch [1-
27] is not possible. Switch ON and Off . On/
Off switching must be carried out directly
on the stirrer.
Switching on:
 Set the On/Off switch [1-27] to "I".
Switching off:
 Set the On/Off switch [1-27] to "0".
If for safety reasons the working process
must be interrupted, press the EMERGEN-
CY OFF switch [1-26].
 If the stirrer should be started again after-
wards, the On/Off switch [1-27] must fi rst be
set to "0" and then to "I" again.
 It is recommended to set the mechanical speed
adjustment of the stirrer to the fi rst speed step
and the electonic control approx. to the third
step (if available).
In any event, the optimum speed setting is to be
checked by practical testing.
