and snow, or in environment with a risk of ex-
plosion.
- Connect machines that are used in the open via
a residual current device (RCD) with an actuat-
ing current of 30 mA maximum. Use only exten-
sion cables that are approved for outdoor use.
- Before starting operation, check if the stirrer
stand is placed securely on a solid foundation.
- Before inserting the stirrer, check if all clamp-
ing and locking elements are seated tightly.
This ensures stability of the stand in the work-
ing position.
- Danger of accidents! Do not connect the
clamped stirrer directly to mains. Always insert
the plug of the stirrer into the receptacle [1-24]
of the stirrer stand.
- Danger of accidents! Start the stirrer only
when the stirrer tools are immersed into the
container. Never run the stir- rer in the upper
slid-out position or without the mixing contain-
er mounted.
- Do not remove the stirrer from the material to
be mixed before the stirrer tools have come to
a standstill. Otherwise parts of material being
scattered around can injure the operator.
- Clean the stirrer tools only in the container
clamped to the stirrer stand and with suitable
cleaning agents. Do not use solvents or silica
sand for cleaning.
- Ensure that no other persons are in the imme-
diate vicinity of the of the stirrer stand during
operation of the stirrer.
- Caution with long hair and jewellery. Work only
with close-fi tting clothing. Wear rubber gloves
and nonslip shoes.
- Wear safety glasses (danger of splashing!).
Wear a dust respirator for jobs where dust de-
velopes.
- Always fasten the mixing container using the
clamping device.
- Danger of accidents! Particularly when work-
ing with double-spindle stirrers, reaching or
handling between the stirrer tools must be
avoided.
- During operation the 85 dB (A) noise level can
be exceeded. Apply appropriate safety meas-
ures (wear hearing protection).
- Do not mix explosive substances (e. g. eas-
ily infl ammable solvents) and materials with a
combustion point below 21 °C. Observe the pro-
cessing instructions of the manufacturer.
- The unit should be stored in a dry place where it
is protected against freezing.
- Only for AS/NZS: The tool shall always be sup-
plied via residual current device with a rated
residual current of 30 mA or less.

Assembling
6.1
Assembling the Stirrer Stand
 Place the stirrer stand (still folded together) on
the fl oor so that it stands securely on all four
supporting points and the two wheels [1-10].
 Fold the column [1-1] up and adjust it verti-
cally.
 Loosen clamping lever [1-9] and turn the safe-
ty catch [1-25] sofar until it engages in the re-
spective holder at the foot of the column.
 Retighten clamping lever [1-9] again.
By loosening the securing knob [1-8] and pull-
ing out the lock bolt [1-15] the working height of
the stirrer respectively of the column [1-1] can
be adjusted. The lock bolt must always be felt to
engage.
 For assembly of the radial arm, set the wing
nut [1-3] vertical (assembly position - see Fig.
[a].
 Insert the radial arm [1-4] into the respective
guide of the housing.
 After pulling the radial arm through the hous-
ing, set the wing nut [1-3] horizontal again
(working position – see Fig. [b].
 For easier operation of the radial arm, the
housing is equipped with a roller guide.
 Adjust the play between the roller guide and the
radial arm by turning the adjustment screws
[1-2] so that the radial arm can still be slid
freely and easily.
 By loosening clamping bolt [1-11] the oper-
ating panel [1-12] can be set to a favourable
position.
6.2
Assembling the Stirrer Stand
 Loosen the clamping knob [1-14] and swivel
it aside.
 Fold out the clamping bracket [1-28] towards
the front (see Fig.[c].
 Insert the stirrer with the clamped stirrer
tool(s) at the spindle collar; fold back the
clamping bracket [1-28] again and secure with
clamping knob [1-14] (see Fig. [d]).
 If required, position the stirrer so that the op-
erating elements are easy and convenient to
reach.
 Insert the power plug of the stirrer into the
