6-9 Dernier contrôle avant la mise en service
Les dernières vérifications doivent porter sur les points
suivants :
•
Personne ne peut être mis en danger par le
démarrage.
•
Les tuyauteries sont bien raccordées.
•
Vérification de l'étanchéité des joints.
•
La pompe est remplie et les tuyauteries aussi.
•
La vanne côté refoulement est fermée.
•
La vanne côté aspiration est entièrement ouverte.
•
Vérifier la tension d'alimentation et que le
branchement de la boîte à bornes moteur correspondent
au dit voltage
•
Le sens de rotation du moteur est correct.
•
Le serrage et l'étanchéité des raccordements de
brides.
•
Le serrage des boulons d'ancrage.
•
Le parallélisme et la concordance des brides des
tuyauteries avec celles de la pompe.

MISE EN SERVICE
7-1 Consignes de sécurité
Les raccordements et protections électriques doivent être faits
selon les règles de l'art et par un personnel qualifié et habilité
conformément aux prescriptions et normes en vigueurs. Voir
notice constructeur moteur
En milieu explosible, respecter la prescription de la norme IEC
60079-14
La pompe doit être remplie de liquide pour éviter la

destruction de l'étanchéité d'arbre
Le réglage du débit se fera avec la vanne de
refoulement.
La vanne côté aspiration devra être toujours ouverte
pour éviter la cavitation.
7-2 Amorçage
La pompe et la tuyauterie d'aspiration doivent être
complètement remplies.

7-3 Mise en route
Pour démarrer la pompe ou le groupe, suivre les indications
suivantes :
•
ouvrir totalement la vanne à l'aspiration.
•
Dévisser de quelques tours la vis de purge rep 43
située sur le dessus du radiateur de manière à remplir le
radiateur de liquide en laissant s'échapper l'air, puis
revisser la vis.
•
fermer celle au refoulement.
•
mettre en marche le moteur.
•
contrôler le manomètre côté refoulement; si la
pression n'augmente pas progressivement avec la vitesse
de rotation, arrêter le moteur et procéder à un nouveau
dégazage de la pompe.
Lorsque le moteur a atteint sa vitesse de rotation, régler le point
de fonctionnement à l'aide de la vanne de refoulement (le
fonctionnement à vanne fermée n'est possible que si un by-
pass permet un débit minimum).
7-4 Contrôle en fonctionnement
Pendant les premières minutes de fonctionnement, vérifier les
points suivants :
•
la garniture mécanique assure bien l'étanchéité

6-9 Final inspection/control before start-up
Final inspection/control operations must involve the following
points :
•
Make sure that no one will be placed in danger by the
start-up ;
•
The pipes are connected correctly ;
•
The joints and seals have been checked for tightness
•
The pump is filled up and the pipes as well ;
•
The inlet side valve is closed ;
•
The outlet side valve is fully open ;
•
Check the power supply voltage rating and that the
motor's terminal box is connected in compliance with its
voltage rating ;
•
The direction of the motor's rotation is correct ;
•
The flange connections are tight and tightened
correctly ;
•
The securing bolts are tightened correctly ;
•
The pipe flanges and pump flanges are in parallel and
properly aligned.

START UP
7-1 Safety instructions
The electrical connections and protections must be made
according to the rules of the art and by a qualified and
authorized personnel in compliance with the prescriptions and
standards in force. Refer to the motor manufacturer's manual.
In an explosive environment, respect the prescription in the
International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC 60079-
14.
The pump must be filled with liquid to prevent destroying
the shaft's packing
The flow rate will be adjusted with the outlet valve.
The inlet side valve should always be open to prevent
cavitation.
7-2 Priming
The pump and the inlet pipes must always be
completely filled.
BEFORE THE FIRST START UP AND AFTER EACH
FILLING, DRAIN THE RADIATOR OWING TO THE
PLUG ITEM 43
7-3 Start-up
To start up the pump or the pump/motor unit, follow the
instructions below :
•
Fully open the inlet valve.
•
Unscrew few turns the drain plug item 43 above
the radiator in order to fill up it with the liquid while letting
some air escaping, then screw it up
•
Close the outlet valve.
•
Start running the motor.
•
Check the pressure gauge on the outlet side if the
pressure does not gradually increase as the rotating speed
increases. If this is the case, stop the motor and proceed to
degas the pump again.
When the motor has attained its rotating speed, adjust the
operating point by using the outlet valve (operation with the
valve closed is only possible if a bypass circuit allows a
minimum flow rate).
7-4 Operating control
During the first few minutes in operation, check the following
points :
•
The mechanical seal provides adequate tightness
