FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN'S USE ONLY
8. Plug in washer or reconnect power. Run
the "Quick Diagnostic Test" on page 6. During
step "C03," observe that the dispenser motor
moves the diverter valve from one position to
another, ending at position 1 (Prewash). Verify
the motor has repositioned the valve and
water is flowing into dispenser.
 If the dispenser motor did not change
the direction of the diverter valve, replace
the motor.
9. If the preceding steps did not correct the
dispensing problem, replace the CCU and
retest dispenser system.
 Unplug washer or disconnect power.
 Replace the CCU.
 Reassemble all parts and panels.
 Perform the "Quick Diagnostic Test"
to verify repair.
MANUALLY UNLOCKING
THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the top washer panel.
3. Reach down along the inside of the front
(between tub and CCU) and locate the top
of the door switch/lock assembly.
4. Located on the top of the door switch/
lock assembly is a ring-shaped tab.
5. Gently pull the tab upward about ¼"
or until a click is heard.
6. The door may be opened.

COMPONENT REMOVAL

NOTE: Instructions are provided only for
those components where removal is not
obvious.
Components accessible through top panel:
• C entral Control Unit (CCU) – Slide a putty
knife between the CCU mount and side
panel to release the locking tab (see Figure
4, page 13 for location). At the same time,
slide the CCU assembly back to remove.
• D ispenser Motor
• D ispensing System – 1) Remove top
panel. 2) Remove two screws from top
of dispenser. 3) Remove dispenser drawer.
4) Remove the two screws on both sides
of the drawer opening. 5) Slide assembly
back to remove.
• F low Meter
• I nterference Filter
• P ressure Sensor/Switch – Disconnect
pressure hose and twist sensor 90°
to remove.
• U ser Interface/Console – 1) Remove top
panel. 2) Remove dispenser drawer. 3)
Remove the two screws on both sides
of the drawer opening. 4) Remove the
two screws (top of console) securing the
console to the mounting bracket. 5) Slide
the console up and off the bracket.
• W ater Valve Assembly
Components accessible through back panel:
• D rive Motor
• H eater/Temp Sensor Assembly –
1) Locate assembly beneath tub.
2) To release grip on tub, loosen the
center nut to decompress gasket.
3) Firmly pull assembly from tub.
• M otor Control Unit (MCU)
Components accessible through front panel:
• D oor Lock/Switch Assembly
• D rain Pump/Filter
• D rum Light
DO NOT REMOVE OR DESTROY
