Operating Instruction
The appliance then executes the following
tests in one sequence:

RIPPLE TEST

In the ripple test, the ripple voltage (hum
voltage) and the charging voltage are dis-
played in real time. This test lasts approx. 6
seconds. After the ripple test, the appliance
automatically switches to the charging volt-
age test.
LOADED TESTING
The test under load lasts approx. 3 seconds.
Please switch electrical consumers such
as the low beams on immediately after the
ripple test. Just after this, the message "In-
crease rev" is displayed.
INCREASE REV.
Increase rate to approx. 3000 rpm and main-
tain this increased rate for 5 seconds.

Once the test has been concluded, the effec-
tive charging voltage and ripple are output
as the test result.
CHARGING NORMAL
LOADED 14.18V
NO-LOADED 14.36V
RIPPLE NORMAL
NOTE
If the increase in rpm is not detect-
ed, the cause may be a defective
alternator regulator or a poor con-
nection between the alternator and
battery. The appliance attempts to
detect the increase in rpm 3 times.
If the increase in rpm still cannot
be detected, this step is skipped
and the message "NO OUTPUT" is
output as well.
