1.1 Intended purpose

This testing unit has been developed for
testing starter batteries and for testing the
starting and charge system in motor vehi-
cles. Thanks to the advanced conductivity
measurement method, the cold-start per-
formance and/or the state of health (starting
capability) of a starter battery can be deter-
mined precisely, reliably and safely.
Moreover, the testing unit supports techni-
cians in the workshop by helping them to
easily and quickly identify faults in start-
ing and charge systems in motor vehicles.
Alongside vehicle workshops, users also in-
clude manufacturers of vehicles and batter-
ies, in addition to battery dealers.

1.2 Product functions

Suitable for all automotive lead-acid

starter batteries (incl. AGM spiral/flat-
plate and gel batteries)
With an integrated thermal printer

Direct recognition of defective battery

cells
Automatic temperature compensation

Reverse polarity protection, protection

for the appliance and battery
Also tests discharged batteries;

charging prior to the test not absolutely
compulsory
The most common test standards are

saved in the appliance
