5.10 Geschwindigkeit und Tonhöhe ver ändern
Die Geschwindigkeit und damit gleichzeitig die Ton-
höhe („pitch") lassen sich mit dem Schieberegler
PITCH CONTROL (14) ändern. Es sind zwei Ein-
stellbereiche verfügbar: max. ±8 % und max. ±16 %
Abweichung von der Standardgeschwindigkeit.
Als Grundeinstellung ist nach dem Einschalten
im mer der Bereich „±8 %" gewählt und der Regler
PITCH CONTROL ist aktiviert. Dies wird durch
Leuchten der LED „8 %" (13) angezeigt.
1) Zum Umschalten zwischen den beiden Einstell-
bereichen die Taste PITCH (13) antippen. Die
jeweilige LED – „8 %" oder „16 %" – leuchtet.
2) Die Ge schwindigkeit mit dem Regler PITCH
CONTROL verändern. Das Display zeigt un ter
der Einblendung „PITCH" (g) die Ab wei chung
von der Standardgeschwindigkeit in Prozent an.
[Ist das Display auf Anzeige der Taktschläge pro
Minute eingestellt (Einblendung „BPM" statt
„PITCH"), die Taste BPM/TAP (23) kurz drücken,
um die Anzeige umzuschalten.]
3) Zum Deaktivieren des Reglers PITCH CON-
TROL die Taste PITCH länger drü cken, bis die
jeweilige LED „8 %" oder „16 %" blinkt. Der Titel
läuft dann mit Standardgeschwindigkeit, unab-
hängig von der Stellung des Reglers und von der
Geschwindigkeitsanzeige im Display. Um die
Reglereinstellung wieder zu aktivieren, die Taste
PITCH einmal antippen.
5.10.1 Takt zwischen zwei Musikstücken
an glei chen (Funktion „Pitch Bend")
Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND (12) kann der Takt des
gerade laufenden Titels an den Takt eines auf einem
anderen Gerät laufenden Musikstückes angepasst
(synchronisiert) wer den.
1) Mit dem Regler PITCH CONTROL die Geschwin-
digkeit des laufenden Musikstückes an die Ge -
schwindigkeit des 2. Musikstückes angleichen.

5.10 Changing the speed and the pitch

With the sliding control PITCH CONTROL (14), the
speed and at the same time the pitch can be changed.
Two adjusting ranges are available: ±8 % max. and
±16 % max. deviation from the standard speed.
As a basic setting after switching on, the range
"±8 %" is always selected and the PITCH CONTROL
is activated. As an indicator, the LED "8 %" (13) will
light up.
1) To switch between the two adjusting ranges,
shortly actuate the button PITCH (13). The corre-
sponding LED "8 %" or "16 %" will light up.
2) Change the speed with the PITCH CONTROL.
Below the indication "PITCH" (g), the display will
show the percentage deviation from the standard
speed. [If the display is set to indication of beats
per minute (indication "BPM" instead of "PITCH"),
shortly press the button BPM/TAP (23) to switch
over the indication.]
3) To deactivate the PITCH CONTROL, press the
button PITCH for a longer period until the corre-
sponding LED "8 %" or "16 %" starts flashing. The
title will then be played at standard speed,
regardless of the position of the control and of the
speed indication on the display. To reactivate the
control adjustment, shortly press the button
PITCH once.
5.10.1 Matching the beat between two music
pieces (function "Pitch Bend")
With the buttons PITCH BEND (12), the beat of the
current title can be matched (synchronized) to the
beat of a title playing on another CD player.
1) With the PITCH CONTROL, match the speed of
the current music piece to the speed of the
second music piece.
2) Synchronize the beats of the two music pieces
with the buttons PITCH BEND: As long as the
button + or - is kept pressed, the speed adjusted

fol gen: wird das Rad im Uhrzeigersinn ge dreht,
läuft der Titel schneller, wird es ent ge gengesetzt
ge dreht, läuft der Titel langsamer. Je schneller
das Rad gedreht wird, desto stärker wird die Ge -
schwin digkeit erhöht bzw. reduziert (max. ±16 %).

5.10.2 Beatcounter

Der integrierte Beatcounter zählt ständig automa-
tisch die Taktschläge pro Minute des laufenden
Titels. Um sie anzuzeigen, die Taste BPM/TAP (23)
kurz betätigen: Das Anzeigefeld (g) rechts oben im
Display wechselt auf „BPM" (= „beats per minute").
Zum Zurückschalten auf die Anzeige der mit dem
Regler PITCH CONTROL (14) eingestellten Ge -
schwindigkeit die Taste erneut kurz drü cken.
Hinweise:
a Solange der Beatcounter noch kein brauchbares
Resultat gezählt hat (z. B. am Titelanfang), signa-
lisiert die Anzeige „- - -".
b Bei Musik ohne rhythmische Signalspitzen (z. B.
ruhige Musiktitel) kann der Beatcounter keinen
Wert ermitteln oder zeigt einen falschen Wert an.
In diesem Fall auf manuelles Zählen schalten:
Die Taste BPM/TAP ca. 3 Se kunden gedrückt
halten, bis die Anzeige „BPM" blinkt. Dann die
Tas te im Takt der Musik einige Male an tippen.
Zum Zurückschalten auf automatisches Zählen
die Taste wieder ca. 3 Se kunden ge drückt halten,
bis die Anzeige „BPM" nicht mehr blinkt.

be made with the rotary wheel (5): When the

replayed faster; when it is turned counter-clock-

5.10.2 Beat counter
The integrated beat counter automatically counts
the beats per minute of the current title permanently.
To indicate them, shortly actuate the button
BPM/TAP (23): The field (g) on the top right of the
display will change to "BPM" (beats per minute). To
return to the indication of the speed adjusted with
the PITCH CONTROL (14), shortly press the button
once again.
Notes:
a As long as the beat counter has not counted any
useful result (e. g. at the beginning of a title), the
indication will show "- - -".
b In case of music without rhythmic signal peaks
(e. g. calm music titles), the beat counter will not
be able to determine any value or will show an
incorrect value. In this case, set the unit to the
manual counting mode: Keep the button BPM/
TAP pressed for approx. 3 seconds until "BPM"
starts flashing. Then shortly actuate the button
several times to the beat of the music.
To return to the automatic counting mode, keep
the button pressed again for approx. 3 se c onds
until "BPM" stops flashing.

5.11 Eigene Titelfolge zusammenstellen

30 Titel einer CD können in beliebiger Reihenfolge
zu einer eigenen Titelfolge zusammengestellt und
abgespielt werden.

5.11.1 Titelfolge programmieren

1) Das Gerät auf Stopp schalten: Auf der Fernbe-
dienung die Taste STOP (24) drücken oder am
Gerät die Taste TIME/ STOP (11) ca. 3 Se kunden
gedrückt halten, bis das Wiedergabesymbol
(h) bzw. das Pausensymbol
2) Die Taste PROG. (1) drücken. Das Display schaltet
auf die Anzeige um und „PROGRAM" (d)
wird eingeblendet.
3) Mit den Zifferntasten (2) den ge wünschten ers ten
Titel anwählen und mit der Taste CFM bzw. CON-
FIRM* (3) bestätigen. Das Display schaltet auf
den zweiten Speicherplatz
4) Den Programmiervorgang für alle weiteren Titel
wiederholen. Ein Titel kann auch mehrfach, d. h.
unter mehreren Speicherplatznummern, pro-
grammiert werden. Nach 30 programmierten
Titeln signalisiert das Display
Titel lassen sich nicht programmieren.
5.11.2 Programmierung überprüfen, korrigieren
oder ergänzen
1) Mit der Taste CFM bzw. CONFIRM* (3) nachein-
ander alle Speicherplätze aufrufen. Das Display
zeigt jeweils die dazu gespeicherte Titelnummer
an. [Wenn jedoch zuvor die Wiedergabe gestar-
tet wurde, muss zur Überprüfung der Program-
mierung zu erst auf Stopp geschaltet und die
Taste PROG. (1) gedrückt werden.]
2) Wenn auf einem Speicherplatz ein anderer Titel
gespeichert werden soll, lässt sich die momen-
tane Nummer mit den Ziffern tasten einfach über-
schreiben. Anschließend wieder zur Bestätigung
die Taste CFM bzw. CONFIRM drücken.

5.11 Compiling an individual title sequence

The CD-194DJ allows compilation and replay of an
individual title sequence of up to 30 titles of a CD.

5.11.1 Programming a title sequence

1) Set the CD player to stop: Press the button STOP
(24) on the remote control or keep the button
TIME/STOP (11) on the unit pressed for approx.
3 seconds until the replay symbol
pause symbol (i) disappears.
2) Press the button PROG. (1). The display will
switch over to the indication
GRAM" (d) will appear.
3) With the numerical keys (2), select the first title
desired and confirm with the button CFM or
CONFIRM* (3). The display is switched to the
second storage location
4) Repeat the programming procedure for all further
titles. A title can also be programmed several
times, i. e. under several storage location num-
bers. After programming 30 titles, the display will
show . It is not possible to programme any
more titles.
5.11.2 Checking, correcting, or completing the
programming
1) Successively call all storage locations with the
button CFM or CONFIRM* (3). The display will
respectively show the title number stored for the
location. [However, if the replay was started
before, first set the unit to stop and press the but-
ton PROG. (1) for checking the programming.]
2) For storing another title on a storage location, just
overwrite the current number with the numerical
keys. Then press the button CFM or CONFIRM to
confirm.
3) For completing the title sequence by another title,
call the next free storage location, enter the title
number with the numerical keys, then press the
button CFM or CONFIRM to confirm.
