Technical specifications
WARNING
If you are using valve types with 12 V DC or 24 V DC con-
trol voltage:
• Use only power units which guarantee reliable isolation
of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/EN 60742/
VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation resistance (protec-
ted extra low voltage, PELV). Switch power packs are
permitted if they guarantee reliable isolation in accordance
with EN 60950/VDE 0805.
Please note:
By using PELV power units, protection against electric shock
(protection against direct and indirect contact) in accordance
with EN 60204-1/IEC 204 is guaranteed on Festo valve termi-
nals. Safety transformers with the adjacent designation must be
used for supplying PELV networks. The valve terminals must be
earthed in order to ensure their function (e.g. EMC).
WARNING
If you are using valve types with 110 V AC or 230 V AC
control voltage:
• Make sure that the earth connection of the auxiliary pilot
solenoids are connected to protective earth. Connecting
socket type MSSD-EB is intended for the cabling.
The M12 central plug type MSSD-EB-M12-... is not per-
mitted for use with this voltage range.
