Know Your Existing Doorbell

Exterior doorbell buttons are usually mounted next
to your front door and will look similar to the below
image.
You may have a doorbell button with no exposed
screws. In this situation, the body of the doorbell
button is snapped onto a baseplate that is screwed to
the door trim/wall.
Your interior doorbell chime will typically be mounted
on a wall in a plastic or wood cover similar to below.
If you are unsure where it is located press the
doorbell button to locate.
