Before starting the vehicle, look to ensure that the steps are in the closed position
Do not use the step inappropriately (e.g., only one person at a time should walk on the step; do not jump on the step).
The step should be utilized only by adult, responsible persons
Before turning the vehicle ignition key and thus actuating automatic closure of the step, ensure that the door where
the step is located is closed and that no object or person is obstructing the operating space of the step.
After having turned the key, and in any case prior to departing, ensure that the warning light signaling "step
open" is off.
Before getting out, always make sure that the step is fully open.
We recommend not to apply mats or similar on the steps, as they might prejudice the correct functioning.
To guarantee use of the steps without problems and in conditions of maximum safety for operators, it is advisable to follow
the inspection and maintenance program given in this chapter.
It is essential to respect the rules given for regular maintenance and to inspect all of the elements of the step in order to
detect any abnormalities before they become evident and to avoid them wherever and however necessary.
The various models of steps have been designed and manufactured with the aim of reducing maintenance procedures to a minimum.

10.1 MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

Prior to starting maintenance procedures, ensure that the vehicle is parked in conditions of certain stability.
After having verified the stability of the vehicle, disconnect the electrical system of the step

Periodically check the state of lubrication of the two slide guides and the chain must be always be greased (only for Art.
10855 – Art. 10856 – Art. 10858 – Art. 10859). It is important to keep the two guides always well greased, using a thick grease
of the "for bearings" type or similar.
NOTE: Do not under any circumstances use white lithium soap grease or spray grease or oil, since the use of these products
would have the opposite effect to that desired.
At least once a year lubricate the motor unit. If the vehicle is utilized on snow, repeat this procedure several times a year.

They don't need a particular maintenance. It's however important to control the state and the cleanness from time to time
and fix when necessary.
FOR A LONG LIFE OF THE STEP, WASH IT WITH FRESH WATER AFTER DRIVING
In any case it's necessary to follow these rules of general nature:
Every maintenance of emergency and/or temporary is forbidden if it isn't carried out by qualified and autho-
rized personnel.
The step must be preserved in order and tidy.
One must always preserve the integrity of the step.
If one must practice some more complicate interventions. It's necessary to turn to the qualified personnel.
The Manufacturer has designed and manufactured the steps for a life of at least 500 hours of intermittent operation and
however exclusively if the maintenance procedures described in this manual have been respected.
Prior to starting the dismantling procedure, disconnect the electrical system of the step from the battery of the vehicle.
The step should be disassembled into its basic parts. Work only wearing gloves and means of personal protection (M.P.I.) to
avoid possible crushing, shearing, cutting.
After having disassembled and sorted the components, consign them to authorized companies for disposal.
Dismantling and demolition procedures must be carried out by qualified, authorized personnel..
