STOPPING THE ENGINE
Release the Motorstop lever 7 fig.1.
The Motorstop is a safety device that prevents the machine running
away if the operator loses control.

4.2 ENGAGING GEARS

The rotary cultivator has 6 gears (4 forward and 2 reverse - R.M.). Gears are
engaged with lever n.4 fig.1, as shown in fig.3 and the illustration shown on the
appropriate sticker.
To drive the machine, disengage the clutch in by pulling in lever, fig.1. Move
lever n.4 fig.1 to the left to select the speed range:
L = Slow
R = Fast
Move the same lever to the right to select the various gears as highlighted in this
Chart:
Range
Slow
Fast
Release the clutch lever slowly and gradually accelerate (n.5 fig.1) the engine.
WARNING! Holding the clutch in for prolonged periods will cause early wear on
the thrust bearing.

4.3 PTO

This rotary cultivator has a top and bottom PTO.
Both PTO splines are 26 UNI 220.
If implements that produce a great deal of inertia (e.g. lawn mowers,
brush-wood choppers, etc.) are connected to the PTO, it is advisable
to use a cardan shaft transmission with "free wheel" device. As it
prevents drive from being transmitted from the implement to the
machine, this device allows these latter to immediately stop as soon as the
clutch is depressed.
