This is important because it determines how effective the detector will be.
Angle the detector downwards (about 6°) to limit detection to the area immediately sur-
1
rounding your house.
Test the detection zone (see the Test chapter below).
2
If you are happy with the detector test, you can lock the adjustment axis in position by
3
turning the grooved ring a 1/4 turn in the direction shown
the adjustment axis is properly locked. Although the adjustment axis must be secure, there
should still be a little play.
To change the angle of the detector once the adjustment axis has been locked in position,
open* the detector to unscrew the tightening screw,
turn the grooved ring a 1/4 turn in the direction shown
unscrew the tightening screw.
The detector angle can now be changed.
*At the same time, send the Off command from your remote control or keypad to avoid
setting off the sirens.

Briefly press the detector test button to change it to test mode. The test indicator light
will come on while the button is pressed signalling the start of a 90 second test period.
Move in front of the detector a few times. When you are detected, the indicator light will
come on and there will be a Beep. If you are not happy with the angle of your detector,
you can improve it using the multidirectional adjustment axis.
After the 90-minute test period the detector will automatically return to
normal functioning, and the test indicator light will no longer come on.
Movement detection will take place silently every 90 seconds, followed
by a radio message to the base unit.
Carry out a real test of the detector and the alarm system (see ALARM SYSTEM INSTALLA-
TION GUIDE, chapter 6).
