Before starting

Enclose the area to be cut so that unauthorised
persons can not be injured or disturb the operator.
Check that the blade and the blade guard is not
damaged or cracked. Replace the blade or the blade
guard if it has been exposed to impact or is cracked.
Check that the chain, chain bar and the chain guards
are not damaged or cracked. Replace if exposed to
impact or cracked.
Check that all cables and the water supply are
correctly connected to the machine before starting it.

Starting

Follow the instructions for starting in the manual supplied
with the power pack.
CAUTION! Ensure that the correct drive mode for
WSC40 is selected in the remote. Otherwise excessive
wear on the chain and chainbar will occur.
IMPORTANT! Ensure that you have the latest software
installed in your power pack and remote control.
Husqvarna service center can provide you with the
latest software.
Select mechanical gear 2, if a wall saw WS 482 is used.

Select drive mode.

Drive modes are changed in the remote control provided
with the wall saw equipment. Switch tool between blade
and wall saw chain attachment by pressing the arrow
buttons up and down.
The power pack may show more options. Make sure that
you have chosen the correct mode for the tool in use.
If incorrect drive mode is chosen, excessive wear may
occur on the tools.

Calibration

If the wall saw chain attachment is not cutting in a straight
line into the wall, you may have to recalibrate the position
sensors.

Use the arm rotation to move the saw into it's outer
position. The two handles must be absolutely parallel.

Press menu, select calibrate arm position and press
OK. The position is now calibrated.

Stopping

Once cutting is completed extract the WSC 40 bar
from the wall and shut down the blade rotation and the
water flow.
Turn off the power pack.

STARTING AND STOPPING

Dismantling the saw

Allow the motor to stop completely.

Disengage the power supply for the power pack.

Turn off and disconnect inflowing water to the power
pack.

Disengage the power cable and the water hose from
the saw unit.

The other steps are done in the reverse order to
assembling.

Cleaning

The saw should be cleaned once cutting is finished. It is
important to clean all the saw equipment.
IMPORTANT! Do not use a high pressure washer to
clean the saw.
Transport and storage
Always switch off the power pack and pull out the electric
cable before moving the equipment.
Dismount the spray guards before transport and storage.
Store the equipment in a lockable area so that it is out of
reach of children and unauthorized persons.
If there is a risk of freezing, the machine must be drained
of any remaining water.
Use the cases provided to store the equipment.
