ADJUSTABLE FRONT HANDLE (FIG. 5)
FRONT HANDLE ADJUSTMENTS
While depressing the front handle release button move
the handle upwards or downwards to the desired angle of
either -15, 0, 15 and 30 degrees. Release the front
handle release button to allow the handle to lock in to the
selected.
OPERATING (FIG. 6)
NEVER COVER AIR VENTS SINCE THEY MUST
ALWAYS BE OPEN FOR PROPER MOTOR COOLING.
MAKE SURE THAT THE WORK PIECE IS FREE OF
NAILS AND OTHER FOREIGN OBJECTS THAT
COULD TEAR THE ABRASIVE BELT.
Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Turn the switch on and
permit the rotation of the abrasive belt to reach full speed.
Then gently place the tool on the work piece surface. Move
the tool back and forth. Never exert excessive pressure on
the tool. The weight of the tool applies adequate pressure.
Excessive pressure will retard the abrasive action, leave an
uneven finish and cause extra wear to both the tool and the
abrasive belt. Always lift the tool off the work piece before
turning the switch off.
LIVE TOOL INDICATOR
This tool features a live tool indicator (13) which
illuminates as soon as the tool is connected to the supply.
This warns the user that the tool is connected and will
operate when the switch is pressed.
AUTO BELT TRACKING SYSTEM
The machine is designed with auto-belt tracking system.
Turn the tool upside down and hold it firmly with one hand,
then start the tool and observe the tracking of the sanding
belt.
The edge of the sanding belt will automatically be even with
the outer edges of wear plate.
The system has been preset at the factory but may
required adjustment when belt are changed or an older belt
stretches. If the edge of the belt deviates more than
3.175mm (1/8 inch) from the edge of the wear plate, adjust
the belt by turning the auto-track adjusting screw until the
belt is even with the edge of wear plate.
