2.2.3
Bath controller - plastic tanks P5, P12, P18.
The controller is fitted to the bridge plate so that the controller faces into the
working area of the bath and the fixing clamp is to the rear of the controller. Fit
the controller through the hole in the bridge plate and using the three M3 screws
supplied, fit the controller to the plate. Loosen the knurled clamp fixing screw and
push the bridge plate onto the end of the plastic tank, ensuring that the clamp f
fixing plate goes into the recess in the tank on the outside. Tighten the knurled
screw on the clamp making sure that the tank is securely clamped by the two
plates on the bridging plate.
2.2.4
Immersion thermostats (for use with non Grant baths).
WARNING: The liquid container on which the unit is mounted must have the necessary
mechanical, chemical and heat resistance.
Use of control unit with clamp
The clamp is fitted to the controller with the clamp at the rear of the controller
and the clamp fixing knob facing outwards.
Using the three M3 screws supplied, fit the clamp to the controller. With the
clamp correctly aligned with the controller, three holes in the clamp line up with
three screw fixings in the base of the controller.
Clamp the controller to the side of your vessel. Vessels can be used with a
maximum wall width of 30mm.
Take care not to over tighten the clamp if you are attaching it to a glass vessel.
CAUTION: When using the immersion thermostat above 60° C, use a tightly fitting lid
around the controller. The purpose of the lid is to prevent vapours from the hot liquid
escaping to the atmosphere or being drawn into the controller with the cooling air. Hot
vapours should not be inhaled. The lid also improves the heat up rate and reduces liquid
evaporation.
