Lighting the Fire
Procedure
Completely open primary Pull primary and secondary air
and secondary air.
slider all the way out. (fi g. 8)
Open fi re grate. Pull out fi re grate slider.
Pile up any remaining ash
and unburned Charcoal
into the centre of the
combustion chamber.
Place 2-3 small logs into
the middle of the fi re box;
stack approx. 0.5 kg of dry
wood chips on top.
Light the ignition material
at several places.

Close fi re grate.
Add two logs weighing approx.
1,5 kg in total. Place logs with
one end to the front of fi re box.
Only add a single layer of fuel.

10. Heating with Brown Coal Briquettes

Wood should be used for the warming-up phase and when
adding fuel for the fi rst time, see "Warming-up Phase". As
soon as a basic glowing fi rebed is reached, place 2-3 brown
coal briquettes on the grate in the middle of the fi rebox, kee-
ping a fi nger's width between the briquettes, and use the
following procedure and settings:

Adjust secondary air. Set secondary air slider (II) to
position 2. (fi g. 10)
Place 3 briquettes onto the
grate.
Open fi re grate. Pull out fi re grate slider.
