Attention!
a.) We recommend unplugging the instrument before cleaning or disinfection.
b.) Take care while cleaning and disinfecting that no liquid enters inside the
instrument.
c.) Never place removable parts of the ri-former® diagnostic station with
extension modules (handle, instrument heads) in liquids!
d.) The thermometer is shipped non-sterile. DO NOT use ethylene oxide gas,
heat, autoclave or any other harsh methods to sterilize the unit.
e.) After cleaning the unit, shake the probe handle to drain out any excess
solution. Thoroughly dry the electrical contacts on both probe and
thermometer.
d.) The devices are not meant to undergo machine-processed maintenance and
sterilization. This could lead to irreversible damage!

8. Troubleshooting

1.) If the RPT-100 predictive thermometer fails to function properly after
washing and reconnecting the probe, rinse all contacts in de-ionized water
and blow dry.
2.) If the RPT-100 predictive thermometer breaks down at any time, it will auto
enter an alarm mode and the corresponding error codes will display.
3.) Device error codes:
P0 No system error
P1 Probe read error
P2 Could not read patient temperature at reset or in direct mode
P3 Could not read heater temperature at reset or in direct mode
P4 Could not read patient temperature in a prediction mode
P5 Could not read heater temperature in a prediction mode
P6 Probe preheat failure in prediction mode
P8 No FILAC 3000 board
E0 No probe error
E1 Could not sync the patient with the heater ADC
E2 Could not auto-calibrate the patient ADC channel
E3 Could not auto-calibrate the heater ADC channel
E4 Timer error
E5 Overheated probe
E6 LCD communications
E7 Unit can't be turned off
4.) No user-serviceable parts inside.
5.) Refer to a factory for service.

9. Technical measurement check

Germany:
Pursuant to the Ordinance on Operating Medical Devices (Medizinprodukte-
Betreiberverordung, MPBetreibV), a technical check must be conducted every
two years. The check can only be conducted by the manufacturer, who is the
appropriate
authorities or persons who comply with the requirements of MPBetreibV §6.
European Union outside of Germany:
The respective legal provisions apply for all EU countries outside of Germany.
Technical measurement check for the predictive thermometer:
The probe accuracy can be checked using a calibrated water bath
(the probe cover must be attached!).
Thermometers which are out of the error threshold must be checked in direct
mode.
The switch to this mode is done automatically when the probe is removed from
the water bath for approx. 60 seconds.
