W
When releasing compressed air, P1 will be blocked
and P2 exhausted.
W
If there is pressure at P1, the valve can be manually
switched through using the manual override (d) (press
function).
The control pressure depends on the working
pressure P1 (see online catalog
www.aventics.com/pneumatics-catalog).
*
NL1: Exhaust on back. NL2/4/6: Exhaust on bottom.
Sudden surge in pressure during start-up!
If no SSV filling unit is used, the system will suddenly be
under pressure during start-up. This could cause
dangerous and sudden cylinder movements.
O When starting up a system without the SSU filling
unit, make sure that the cylinders are in their end
position. For cylinders not in the end position, make
sure they do not present any danger.
During commissioning
O Let the product acclimatize for several hours before
commissioning; otherwise, water may condense in the
housing.
O Make sure that all electrical and pneumatic
connections are either used or covered. Commission
the product only if it is installed completely.

Setting fill time
The filling valve prevents a sudden surge of pressure
during the system's start-up. The fill time can be changed
using the adjustment screw. (The position of the screw
varies according to the series.)
1. Remove adjustment screw lock (a) (if applicable).
2. Turn the adjustment screw (e.g. with a screwdriver)
clockwise in order to prolong the fill time or turn the
adjustment screw counterclockwise to decrease the
fill time.
3. Press the lock (a) into the adjustment screw (if
applicable).

6
The filling unit is a combination of shut-off valve and filling
valve.

Service and Repairs

Cleaning and servicing
W
Seal all openings with suitable protective caps to
prevent detergents from penetrating the system.
W
Never use solvents or strong detergents. Only clean
the product using a slightly damp cloth. Only use water
and, if necessary, a mild detergent.
W
Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning.

Decommissioning,
Disassembly, Exchange
Danger of injury if disassembled or exchanged under
pressure or voltage!
Disassembly or exchange when under pressure or
electrical voltage can lead to injuries and damage to the
product or the system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under
pressure or voltage before disassembling the
product or exchanging parts.
O Protect the system against being switched on.
8
Disposal
Scrap the device and fluid in accordance with local
regulations.
9

Extension and Conversion

Danger of injury if disassembled or exchanged under
pressure or voltage!
Disassembly or exchange when under pressure or
electrical voltage can lead to injuries and damage to the
product or the system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under
pressure or voltage before disassembling the
product or exchanging parts.
O Protect the system against being switched on.
