Checking for correct functioning
The flame-monitoring device should be
checked for safe and reliable functioning
before initial startup, during regular
servicing and after any extended
shutdown period.
Startup attempt with blacked-out flame
–
monitor: note that the automatic firing
unit must go into malfunction mode at
the end of the safety period.
Startup with exposed flame monitor:
–
note that the automatic firing unit must
go into malfunction mode once air has
been flowing for 10 seconds.

Oil pressure control
Oil pressure - and consequently burner
adjustment - is controlled from the pump
using the oil pressure regulator 6.
Turning
clockwise to increase

anticlockwise to reduce pressure.

A pressure gauge with an R
should be fitted to the pressure gauge

outlet 4 in order to allow the pressure to
be checked.

Checking the negative pressure
The vacuum gauge used for checking
negative pressure (and fitted with an
R / " thread) should be attached to

negative pressure is 0,4bar. Higher
negative pressure will cause the
heating oil to turn to gas, leading to
scraping noises in the pump.
Cleaning the pump filter
1 / "" thread The filter is located under the pump

cover. Cleaning access to the filter is
gained by loosening the fixing bolts and
removing the cover.
Check the condition of the pump cover
gasket and replace if necessary.
