Airflow control is carried out at two
points:
On the delivery side of the ventilator,
–
using an air metering drum.
In the burner head, using the interval
–
between turbulator and blast tube
end.
The air metering drum has linear
control characteristics and is operated
by turning the control knob 1.
The adjustment setting is indicated on
the control scale 2.
Airflow control in the burner head also
influences (along with air quantity) the
mix area and air pressure in the blast
tube. Turn the screw 3
clockwise to increase air supply
–
anti-clockwise to reduce air supply
–
The scale 4 can be used to check the
turbulator adjustment setting.
The turbulator position (dimension C)
corresponds to the setting indicated on
the scale 4.
This is pre-set to "0" prior to delivery.
Proceed as follows whenever the unit
requires readjusting or resetting:
· Release the catch 2 springs from
inside to remove the cover panel.
· Screw or unscrew the adjuster until
the scale 4 is in the desired position
· Refit cover panel.

The above adjustment data correspond
to the default settings.
Pre-delivery adjustment settings appear
within a black rectangle. These settings
allow the burner to be run in normal
operation, but always carry out a
careful check of adjustment settings, as
individual plant conditions may require
certain corrections.
The following nozzle types must be used
to ensure favorable combustion values:
The air inlet guiding piece 6 is set at
the factory to "1".
Position 1 = max. fan pressure
Position 5 = min. fan pressure
In cases where high fan pressure would
suppose a disadvantage, e.g. when
there is high negative pressure in the
combustion chamber, pressure can be
reduced by adjusting the air inlet guiding
piece setting:
· Loosen the locking bolt 7
· Adjust air inlet guiding piece to new
· Tighten bolt once more.
