UNPACKING

When the machine is delivered, carefully inspect
the shipping carton and the machine for damage. If
damage is evident, save the shipping carton so that
it can be inspected by the carrier that delivered it.
Contact the carrier immediately to file a freight
damage claim.
Please check that the following items have been
supplied with the machine (Fig. 1) :
- Plastic bag with cables for batteries and connector
for battery-charger
- Documents (Spare Parts Catalog, Manual for Use
and Maintenance, Service Manual)
- Side brush

PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
The electric version requires two 12V batteries .
Depending on the country where it was sold, there
are three possibilities:
1 -the batteries are supplied with the machine and
they are assembled, complete with acid solution
2 -the batteries are supplied with the machine and
they are assembled, but not complete with acid
solution.
3 -the batteries are not supplied with the machine .
The battery compartment is under the seat. Lift the
seat cover and verify which one of the three
possibilities applies to the machine.

1. If the batteries are assembled open one of the
ventilation caps to check if it is complete with acid.
If so:
1.a Check the level of the solution in each cell and
fill up with distilled water only.
1.b Proceed with charging the batteries. (see the
"Recharging battery" section).
