Replacing the re-
chargeable bat-
tery
54
The current strength influences the service life. This means that a bat-
tery with a maximum charge has a shorter service life than one that is
less charged.
The battery should be replaced after no more than 4 years. To optim-
ise its service life, the battery must be connected to the mains
voltage as often as possible.
We recommend charging the battery every 6 months. Otherwise, it
will discharge itself and have a lower capacity.
We recommend testing the battery function at least once a year.
The rechargeable battery must be replaced with an original re-
chargeable battery from the manufacturer. This is available as a spare
part.
The battery must be new or must be maintained by charging it at
least once every 6 months.
 Regularly check that the ventilation opening is undamaged and
intact.
The design of the ventilation line means that battery gases may es-
cape. However, water cannot get into it.
Make sure the rechargeable battery pack is correctly connected.
 The battery compartment is hermetically separated from the
electronics compartment.
The material separating it must not be damaged or altered while
the battery is being replaced. Battery gas may enter the electronics
compartment, creating a risk of explosion.
Press the snap lock on the rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery can be detached from the holder and the
replaceable battery can be used.
With the snap lock pressed down, insert the replaceable battery at
a slight angle until it engages in the holder.
You can now resume operation.
Dispose of the rechargeable battery in a municipal recycling facility.
Do not dispose of the rechargeable battery with your household
waste.
