Mounting

It is essential to note the
following
points
when
planning the installation of
the PERA whirlpool! A de-
tailed planning and design
process should always be
carried out, taking account
of the particular circum-
stances, before the com-
plete system is ordered
and installed.
The whirlpool should be
assembled using the adjustable feet that come with it and
levelled using a spirit level.

03.01 Installation site

Hoesch whirlpools are suitable for use both outdoors
and in enclosed spaces.
The edge of the whirlpool must be above the level of
the ground.
The surface beneath it should be fl at and stable.
Please note the total weight of the device during use,
see Section 2.
The user must provide a suitable inspection hatch
for this model (see sketch of the bathtub). When
cladding the whirlpool, an air outlet of at least 400
cm3 should be provided.
If the whirlpool is installed inside, the room in which it
is installed must be ventilated and must be of an ap-
propriate size. Ensure that the air in the room in which
the whirlpool is installed can be dehumidifi ed.
When the installation is being planned, a fl oor drain
should be provided in the position shown (min. DN
50), to ensure additional protection when emptying
the bath or if it overfl ows.
We recommend installation of a fl oor drain, which
should be connected to the sewage system.
The outlet should be protected from drying out.

03.02 Water supply

Water outlet.
The connection for the drain/overfl ow should be po-
sitioned underneath the whirlpool. Water outlet mini-
mum DN 50. (Outer diameter of drainage pipe 63mm)
On the installation site, the connection to the drainage
channel should incorporate a siphon. (e.g. Geberit
152.040.16.1)
When the installation is being planned, the siphon
(min. DN 50) should be positioned so that electrical
cables are protected from any possible leaks.
If more than one whirlpool is to be used at the same
time, the whole pipework system must be of a suitable
diameter. The drainage system must be vented.
Pool empties through electrically operated ball valve
15W, 230V, 50Hz. Switch assembled on site. Supply line
to drain valve 4 x 1.5 mm

03.03 Electrical installation

Hoesch-Whirlpool are intended for private use and conform
with DIN/EN standards. Exception are medical purposes.
SW11
Note:
All electrical works should be done by the
authorized electrician in accordance with the
applicable standard DIN/EN, typical country
norms and the local energy law!
The whirl pool system is designed to operate with the
alternating voltage of 230 V/AC, 50Hz, 5kW. The whirlpool
system itself must be powered by a separate electricity
circuit and fi tted with a slow-blow fuse 32 A according to its
nominal output, as shown on the rating plate. There must
be no branches off to other consumers. In accordance
with the applicable provisions, whirlpool baths, as class 1
electrical devices, must be permanently connected to the
electrical system via a double-pole line disconnector. For
safety reasons, the whirlpool connection cable may only
be connected to the mains with an electrical plug, which
is protected through an excess current circuit breaker and
a differential circuit breaker (RCD device) with a nominal
voltage of 30 mA. As a result, the installation is separated
from the mains at all poles, whereby the contacts must be
at least 3 mm open. The RCD device must be checked at
least once a month. We recommend that, when the whirl
system is not being used, the main switch/RCD is used to
break the connection between the whirlpool and the mains.
The minimum cross-section of the whirlpool connection
cable is 3 x 4 mm² (length L = 2 m). A permanent mains
connection for the whirlpool should be prepared in zone I
(the unit is located under the tub). There should also be
an equalisation connection available. A marked clamping
device
equalisation cable must be connected.
The terminal made by the construction team should be in
a form of a permanent distributive damp-resistant socket
(IP 65, at least 30 cm over the fl oor, in the area under the
whirlpool). When installing the whirlpool, care must be
taken with the parts that contain active elements (with the
exception of elements with a safe low voltage, i.e. with
a maximum voltage of 12 V), since these must not be
accessible by persons in the whirlpool.
The circumstance that the whirlpool has a mains connection
must be noted in the guarantee card with the signature
and stamp of the authorised person. The card serves as
evidence of the guarantee's validity.
