3.3.3 Connecting to a portable hard disk
audio player (sold separately)
You can connect your portable hard disk audio
player to the Center or Station using Philips
docking IR cradle and data/audio cable (not
supplied). Now you will be able to enjoy the
music library in your portable hard disk player via
WACS7000's sophisticated speaker system.You
can even recharge the player's battery at the
same time.

player, press PORTABLE on the 2-way remote
control (see 10.External source)
Helpful hint:
– Make sure that the Center and Station is
already connected before pressing the
PORTABLE button.
3.3.4 Connecting to other additional
devices
It is possible to play audio output from an
external source, e.g.TV,VCR, Laser Disc player,
DVD player on the Center or Station.You can
also record the audio output to the music library
in the hard disk of the Center.

On the additional device

Connect one end of the audio cable (not
supplied) to the AUDIO OUT terminals on the
additional device
On the Center or Station

Connect the other end of the audio cables to the
AUX IN terminals on the Center or Station

To playback audio output from the additional
device, press SOURCE to select AUX mode on
the Center or Station (see 10.External
source)

Helpful hints:
– If the connected device has only a single audio
out terminal, connect it to the AUX IN left
terminal.Alternatively, you can use a "single to
double" cinch cable, but the output sound still
remains as mono.
– Always refer to the owner's manual of the other
equipment for complete connection.
