installation drawings and dimen-
sions.
Important Safety Instruc-
tions for Installation
• The machine must always
be installed by a qualiied
specialist. ritterwerk is li-
able for the consequences
arising from improper and/
or deicient installation.
• The mains plug must be
unplugged during instal-
lation.
AES 64 NR INSTALLATION
There are two installation options:

- wall mounting

- rail mounting
INSTALLATION
REQUIREMENTS
Installation dimensions in mm
Minimum height for rail
mounting (top of rail):............... 489
Maximum height for rail
mounting (top of rail):............... 569
Height for wall mounting:......... 458
Width: ...................................... 418
Depth when retracted:.............. 162
Depth when extended: ............. 589
WALL MOUNTING
Mark the four holes to be drilled
on the wall as shown in Figure (A).
Ensure that there is a clearance of
at least 217 mm between the two
holes on the right and any vertical
surface to the right (such as a high
kitchen cabinet or hanging cabinet).
Select wall plugs according to the
type of screw used (4-mm or 5-mm
cylinder-head or recessed-head
screws), and drill holes to match
the length and diameter of the wall
plugs. A special tile-drilling bit must
be used with tiles, in order to avoid
splintering the tiles.
Insert the wall plugs.
Fit the cabinet to the wall using
the four screws. Pass the screws
through the cylindrical spacers as
shown in Figure (B).
Firmly tighten the screws and plug
the power supply lead into the
socket.
RAIL MOUNTING
Adjustable-height rail hooks are
available for rail mounting. Please
consult our Customer Service
department.
Since the rail hooks can be adjusted
in height, the rail rod can be in-
stalled at a height between 481 mm
and 561 mm above the worktop
(see Figure (B)). The rail must be
positioned such that there is a clear-
ance of at least 180 mm between
the right side of the cabinet and any
other vertical surface (such as a high
kitchen cabinet or hanging cabinet)
(see Figure (C)).
Fit the two adjusting screws as
shown in Figure (B).
Attach the rail hooks to the cabinet
as follows: thread the screws into
the nuts located in the slots, and
tighten the screws only hand tight,
so that the rail hooks can still move.
Fit the cabinet to the rail and then
slide the rail hooks until the cabinet
is sitting on the worktop and the
rail hooks are resting on the rail.
Carefully lift away the cabinet
without moving the rail hooks.
Firmly tighten the itting screws for
the rail hooks.
Reit the cabinet and plug the
power supply lead into the socket.
AES 64 NS INSTALLATION
For installation in an appliance
garage or on a drop door.

INSTALLATION IN CUPBOARD
Fit a side arm with brake on the
left side of the drop door (side-arm
mechanism not included).
Attach the bracket for the inger
guard and food holder at the
upper and lower left corners of
the appliance garage, as shown in
Figure (F). Use 4-mm diameter, 13-
mm Spax screws with countersunk
heads to it the bracket (screws not
included).
Mark the six screw positions on the
drop door as shown in Figure (G),
being sure to provide at least the
minimum clearance as speciied in
the diagram.
It is recommended to use pan-head
Spax screws (not included) to install
the machine. Select a screw length
to match the thickness of the drop
door. Remember that panel doors
have reduced thickness! It is not
necessary to pre-drill the screw
holes if Spax screws are used, but
installation will be easier if the
screw positions are irst centre-
punched.
Fit the screws for the right-hand
side of the machine and screw them
in until the itting with the open
slots can just be slid under their
heads.
Fold out the machine (see OPERA-
TION), and remove the sliced-food
tray if necessary.
Insert in the screws for the left-hand
side of the machine and tighten
them securely. Then plug the mains
cable into the socket.
