5. Using the charger for the first time

Connect the charger to a 12 V Lead-acid
battery. It is essential to maintain correct

polarity (red = positive / black = negative).

Important: if the charge parameters are
set incorrectly, the battery could be perma-
nently damaged, and even burst into fla-
mes or explode. For this reason: never
start the charge process until you are sure
that you have set the appropriate charge
parameters.
