The Motorstop is a safety device to prevent accidentally leaving the
machine in movement.

4.2 ENGAGING THE GEARS

The transmission gives the following gears in both driving directions:
Lever 4 fig.1
- Forward
= 1st gear
- Middle
= Neutral
- Back
= 2nd gear
- Middle
= Neutral
- Back
= 3rd gear (only for Model 3+3)
A safety device prevents this speed in reverse when the
machine is used for cultivating or ploughing in the normal
driving direction.
Direction:
Lever 2 fig.1
- Forward
= Reverse
- Back
= Forward
Use the clutch lever 6 fig.2, to engage the right gear for the work to be done;
increase the revs (lever 7 fig.3) when you let out the clutch.
Caution Do not hold the clutch in for long periods as this will cause rapid wear
on the thrust bearing.

4.3 PTO

The PTO works independently from the speed of the the machine.
To engage the PTO, lower the revs, pull in the clutch (6 fig.2) and put lever 1
fig.1 in one of the following positions:
- Forward
= PTO engaged
- Middle
= Neutral
PTO Rpm: 923 with the engine at 3600 Rpm; clockwise rotation; profile 20x17
DIN 5482.
Caution This rotary cultivator has a safety device that prevents the
PTO from being engaged when reverse is engaged.
If implements that produce a great deal of inertia (e.g. lawn mowers,
brush-wood choppers, etc.) are connected to the PTO, it is advisable
to use a cardan shaft transmission with "free wheel" device. As it
prevents drive from being transmitted from the implement to the machine, this
device allows these latter to immediately stop as soon as the clutch is
depressed.
