● mount the liner for cutting works 57а (figure 1);
● mount the saw blade casing 57 and fix it with the screws 57b.
To mount the disk cutter guard, perform the following:
● remove the saw blade guard 2 from the splitting blade 2a (figure 1);
● assemble the vertical holder 6 as displayed on figure 2;
● mount the vertical holder 6 (figure 21) into the notch of the outfeed table and fix it
with thumbscrew 4. The guard's height is adjusted by moving the clamp 59 along the
vertical holder 6.
Then adjust the position of the saw blade insert 30 and the saw blade guard 2 against the
disc cutter 12. They should be positioned symmetrically against the disc cutter center.
Milling depth of disc cutter is set the same way as the saw blade depth (sub-item 11.2.2).
Milling depth scale 61 is located to the right on the saw blade casing 57 (figure 1).
For the machines BELMASH SDM-2000, BELMASH SDM-2200, BELMASH SDM-2500 there
available a range of additional attachments extending the machines' functionality, such as
thicknessing planer attachments TD-2000, TD-2200, TD-2500, milling device MD-01, side
holder SC-01.
The devices are not included in a standard package set. Detailed information and manuals
for all of the additional devices is available on www.belmash.by.

12. TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

In order to maintain the machine in a permanent technical efficient and working condition,
it is necessary to service the machine each time before using it. It includes the following:
● Performing exterior check;
● Checking the fixing security of slicing blades;
● Cleaning the machine.
The exterior check includes cable test, integrity of security fencing test.
Checking the fixing security of slicing blades is performed by tightening the screws 76 with
the wrench (figure 7).
Cleaning includes removing dust, cuttings, wood particles with a brush or a vacuum cleaner
from the machine surface.
It's necessary to periodically sharpen or replace the planer knives (figure 23) when they get
blunt.
Knife cutting edge should be sharp and free from deformations, indentations, cleavage and
cracks.
To replace and mount the knives, perform the following:
● unscrew the clamping screws 76 (figure 7);
● replace the knife 74; mount the new one as displayed on figure 8;
● adjust the knives using the screws 77 (figure 9);
● fix the knives with clamping screws 76 (figure 8).
When mounting the new knives, replacing the fixing parts and after sharpening, the
difference in weight of a set of knives together with fixing set shall not exceed 1 gram. Total
