9.1. Servicing Schedule

9.2. Cleaning

When cleaning, make sure that no liquids enter the inside of
the housing.

9.2.1. Flushing Vacuum pump system

Personal injury caused by poisoning or explosion
and damage to the vacuum system
 When flushing the vacuum pump system with
inert gas, make sure that the gas ballast valve is
WARNING
closed so no reactive or explosive mixtures can
form.
Before switching off the vacuum pump system, separate it from the
vacuum chamber and flush it with air (if necessary for safety rea-
sons: with an inert gas) under atmospheric conditions (ambient
pressure) for about five minutes.
If inert gas is used: connect the inert gas feed to the gas inlet (Fig.
2/7, page 11) of the vacuum pump system. Observe the safety
instructions in chapter 3.

9.2.2. Cleaning Vacuum pump system

 Only clean vacuum pump system with a damp cloth and non-
flammable cleaning agents.
9.2.3. Emptying collection flask on the suction and pressure
sides
Suction side
1.
Grasp the collection flask (Fig. 2/12, page 11) and simulta-
neously remove attachment clamp 11; pull out collection flask.
2.
Dispose of contents in collection flask according to local regu-
lations. Then rinse out collection flask.
3.
Reattach collection flask.
