1. Important safety information
- read carefully and keep for
later use
Failure to observe the information provided below can lead to personal injury or material dama-
ge (electric shock, skin burns, fire). The following safety and hazard information not only serves
to protect your health and the health of others, it also protects the product from damage. You
are therefore advised to observe this safety information and pass on these instructions toge-
ther with the product.
• Only use this cuddle roll for the purpose described in the instructions for use.
• The cuddle roll is not intended for use in hospitals.
• The cuddle roll is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical,
sensory or mental capabilities and/or by persons lacking the required understanding of the
equipment and how it is used, unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for
their safety.
• Do not use with persons who are helpless, small children, persons insensitive to heat (e.g.
diabetics, persons with illness-related skin changes or scarred skin in the area of application
or after taking pain-relieving medication or alcohol).
• Excessively long use can cause the skin to be burned.
• Caution! Never fall asleep while the cuddle roll is switched on.
• Do not place the cuddle roll on parts of the body which are inflamed, injured or swollen. If in
doubt, seek medical advice prior to use.
• The electric and magnetic fields emitted by this cuddle roll can sometimes interfere with the
operation of pacemakers. However, they are well below the permissible limits: electric field
strength: max. 5,000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m max., magnetic flux density:
max. 0.1 millitesla.
Therefore, please consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using
the cuddle roll.
• The cuddle roll
– only connect it to the voltage specified on the appliance
– only use it in conjunction with switch types specified on the cuddle roll label
– do not operate it unattended
– do not switch it on if it is folded or compressed
– do not wedge it between objects
– do not make any sharp kinks in it
– do not use it with animals
– do not use it when damp.
• The electronic components in the cuddle roll switch cause the switch to heat up slightly
during use. The switch should therefore never be covered or placed on the cuddle roll when
it is switched on.
• Never pull, twist or make any sharp kinks in the cables.
• Never stick pins or pointed objects into the cuddle roll.
• This cuddle roll may not be used by children unless the switch has been preset by a parent
or a supervisory person, or the child has been sufficiently instructed in how to use the cuddle
roll safely.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the cuddle roll as a toy.
