► Push the release slide (1) in the direction of
the loop handle with your thumb and hold it
there.
The LEDs indicate the selected power level.
► Push the release slide (1) forwards, hold it
briefly in that position and allow it to spring
back.
This selects the next power level. Power level
3 is followed by power level 1, then 2, 3.
► Push the release slide (1) forwards and allow
it to spring back as many times as necessary
to select the required power level.
Every KombiTool can be operated with all three
power levels.

Operation
The method of operating the KombiMotor
depends on the KombiTool you are using.
► Operate the KombiMotor as described in the
instruction manual supplied with the Kombi‐
Tool.

► Switch off the KombiMotor and pull the con‐
necting cable plug out of the socket.
► If the KombiMotor is wet: Allow the KombiMo‐
tor to dry.
► Clean the KombiMotor.

Carrying the KombiEngine
► Carry the KombiEngine properly balanced by
the shaft with the KombiTool behind you.
Transporting the KombiEngine in the car
► Secure the KombiEngine so that it cannot turn
over or move.

14 Storing

14.1
► Switch off the KombiMotor and pull the con‐
necting cable plug out of the socket.
► Mount the KombiTool as described in the
instruction manual supplied with the Kombi‐
Tool.
► Check the following points when storing the
KombiMotor:
– KombiMotor is out of the reach of children.
– KombiMotor is clean and dry.

15 Cleaning

15.1
► Switch off the KombiMotor and pull the con‐
necting cable plug out of the socket.
► Clean the KombiEngine with a damp cloth.
► Clean vents with a paintbrush.

16 Maintenance and Repairs

16.1
The KombiMotor cannot be serviced or repaired
by the user.
► If your KombiMotor has a malfunction or is
damaged or requires servicing: Contact your
STIHL servicing dealer for assistance.
