Before You Begin

This custom hydro-massage system has been engineered to give you ultimate flexibility in creative
room design.
This manual contains a Design Guide and an Installation Guide. The Design Guide offers in-depth
information to assist you in the planning phase of your system room. The Installation Guide
describes actual construction and assembly techniques.
The custom system operates at flow rates up to 80 gallons (302 L) per minute. To achieve a
watertight installation, it is critical that you follow all the design and installation instructions
carefully. Pay particular attention to leveling and sealing details to obtain a satisfactory installation.
A WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE OR APPLIED COMPOUND MUST BE INSTALLED TO
THE ENTIRE FLOOR AND WALL SURFACES WITHIN THE SYSTEM ROOM.
IMPORTANT! The custom system is intended for indoor use only.
It is critical that you follow the installation sequence and details in the steps that follow to
successfully install and operate your system, and to prevent costly repairs and rework. If necessary,
consult with a proven expert in custom shower installations, before attempting this project.
A series of Check Point boxes are included in the Installation Guide. You need to complete the
steps and requirements listed at each Check Point before you proceed to the next series of
installation steps.
A parts kit is supplied with your custom hydro-massage system. Locate the parts kit and use the
parts during installation.
Kohler Co. shall not be responsible for leakage that occurs as a result of inadequate or poor
assembly or installation techniques.
