Time
As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display lighting turns on and
the time display 12:00 fl ashes. The clock has a 24-hour time format.
1. Set the hours by pressing the button Std (hr) (16).
2. Set the minutes by pressing the button Min (17).
The time is saved until a new time is set or the device has been disconnected
from the power supply for more than a minute.

Filling the Water Tank

1. Open the water tank lid (2).
2. Pour the quantity of water required for the number of cups you want (maximum 12
cups) into the water tank (7).
3. Close the water tank lid.
All of the water in the water tank is always used, regardless of the set number of
cups or coffee strength.
Adding Coffee Beans
1. Take off the lid of the coffee bean compartment (1).
Ensure that the water tank lid (2) is closed so that no coffee beans can fall into
the water tank.
2. Fill the coffee bean compartment (3) with coffee beans. Do not overfi ll it!
3. Place the lid back on the coffee bean compartment.
When you switch to another type of coffee, there will still be coffee powder from
the previous type in the grinder shaft.

Setting the Grinding Fineness

Turn the rotary dial for setting the grinding fi neness (4) the left (fi ne) or the right (coarse)
to set the grinding fi neness you want.

Inserting the Filter

1. Press the release button for the fi lter compartment (10).
2. Insert the fi lter insert (12) into the fi lter compartment.
3. Insert the permanent fi lter (13) or a basket fi lter paper into the fi lter insert.
4. Close the fi lter compartment again. It must engage audibly.
Setting the Number of Cups
Keep pressing the button Tassen 1 – 12 (Cups 1 – 12) (15) until the display (14) shows
the number of cups you want (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 cups).
The selected number of cups is saved until a new number of cups is set or the
device has been disconnected from the power supply for more than a minute.
