• Operation of the appliance without the baffl es can result in excessive temperatures that could damage the
appliance, chimney and the surrounding enclosure.
With the appliance and chimney installation completed, move the bricks into place as illustrated below.
A.
Install the four (A) bricks, two (B) bricks and two (C) bricks, working from the back of the appliance
forward as illustrated (Fig. 1).
note:
Left and right rear bricks have been cut.

Install two (A) bricks along both sides of the appliance. Install the four (A) bricks and one (G) brick along
the back wall by pivoting the bricks up under the brick retainer (Fig. 1).
note:
Place narrow brick in center.
C.
Carefully pivot fi bre baffl es (F) up onto the secondary air tubes (Fig. 2). Ensure that the top baffl es are
pushed all the way to the rear of the fi rebox, leaving a minimum of a 1 inch gap along the front. This will
allow the fl ue gases to escape the fi rebox. Ensure overlap joint is tight (Fig. 2).

Install the two (D) bricks along the front (Fig. 1).

The fi bre baffl es are
shipped in a box inside
the fi rebox and must
be removed from all
special packaging prior to
installation.
