cOMPOSItION
The cutting part of these instruments is made of a nickel-titanium alloy.

INDIcatIONS FOR uSE
These products have to be used only in hospital environments, clinics or dental offices by qualified dental
personnel.
application for the product: The ProFile® range comprises 3 endodontic instrument types, allowing the
shaping and cleaning of the whole root system. The types are easily identifiable by the colored ring on the
shanks.

PREcautIONS
Continuous speed rotation
Constant in-and-out movement
Do not force in the apical direction
Check the instrument before each use
Working time of each instrument: 5/10 sec. maximum
These instruments should not be immersed in a sodium hypochlorite solution.
Instrument decontamination: strictly follow decontamination instructions from the manufacturer.
Irrigate abundantly and frequently
Establish a reproducible glide path using hand files, at least an Iso 015 size.
Use in a constant rotation at a speed of 150-350 rpm with light apical pressure.
Clean flutes frequently and check for signs of distortion or wear.
For optimal usage, torque control devices are recommended.
Multiple use disinfection and resterilization cycles may lead to increased risk of file separation.

In the present technical state, no adverse reaction has been reported so far.

StEP BY StEP INStRuctIONS (NaRROW caNaLS)
As each clinical case is different: The operating sequence described hereunder, effective in the majority of
cases, should be adapted depending on the anatomy of certain canals.

Determination of the exact working length (example: 22,5 mm):
- Manual K-File +X-ray check: the K-File is used purely as a depth gauge, the K-File is used after the
first ProFile
has reached the minimum estimated working length less 3 mm (ex.: 21-3 = 18 mm).

The Crown-Down will be continued until the exact working length.
- apex locator (optional): continue Crown-Down up until the foramen, using an apex locator as
reference.
