• For your own safety, only use accessories or spare parts that are stated in these instructions, or that are recommen-
ded by the manufacturer!
• Position the charging adaptor in your vehicle in such a way that, when driving the vehicle, you are not hindered by
the charging adaptor, cable and the devices connected to it.
• The charging adaptor and the devices connected to it must be secured firmly during the journey.
• Always pull the charging adaptor out of the socket after switching off the engine. There is a risk that the battery of
your vehicle may be discharged.

6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Please contact the manufacturer of your USB device before connecting regarding its power consumption. This informa-
tion can often be found in the manual or on the type plate.

6.1 OVERVIEW

6.2 CONNECTING A USB DEVICE

Secure the rear seat box to the backrest of a front seat. e.g. using a clip fix-
ture (Figure 5). Run the cable to the 12V socket in your vehicle.
The cable must not hinder the driver when moving.
Find out how to connect this in the manual for your USB device. If there is no
information, proceed as follows:
• Switch off your USB device.
• Connect your USB device using a USB connector (position 2, Figure 1 or
position 6, Figure 3) on the charging adaptor.
• If your vehicle has an on-board power socket connected to the ignition, first start the engine. Insert the plug of the charging adap-
tor into the on-board power socket. The indicator lamps will light up (position 1 Figure 1 and position 7, Figure 3).
• Switch on the USB device to be used.
